| Preparations for our French language program are now completed! We have excellent teachers and great course material. Remember: proficiency in French is not a requirement for participation in the ACTIF program. Classes will be divided into levels and participants with little or no knowledge of the language will learn a lot and enjoy their stay in Montpellier. | We are now in the process of selecting
our "Host Families". These are not hosts in the traditional
sense of the term since you will be living in your own fully-equipped apartment.
Most of these families are close personal friends of ours and they are very excited about meeting you and helping you enjoy this experience in Montpellier. |

| We are working closely with friends in the travel industry to research train and plane schedules. We will be happy to help you plan any European trips you care to take during or after the ACTIF program. One of our contacts at a regional airline has found very attractive prices for seniors traveling to European destinations. | Mr. Roy
Lightner has kindly agreed to act as our stateside representative.
Roy is handling the administrative and financial details of the ACTIF
program with Bank of America.
Roy loves Montpellier and has improved his French by participating in our Spring 2002 program. |

These include guest lecturers, informal get-togethers, cultural events and some special meals. | The Fall 2002 ACTIF term is coming up. We have very limited space available. Please send in your application form without delay. The deadline for application is August 20th. | |
